AquaOx Filters Out Tetrachloroethene
Tetrachloroethene, also known as tetrachloroethylene or perchloroethylene, is an industrial solvent frequently used in dry cleaning and can find its way into ground and drinking water. It has been classified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) as a group 2A carcinogen, which means that it is probably carcinogenic to humans. It can enter the body through respiratory, gastrointestinal tract (drinking) and dermal absorption. It can also affect the central nervous system.
From the IARC:
“There is evidence for consistently positive associations between exposure to tetrachloroethylene and the risks for oesophageal and cervical cancer and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.”
The AquaOx can remove the harmful Tetrachloroethene from your water and keep your body going strong.
*NOTE: Not all water contains all contaminants discussed. No water purifying system can remove 100% of every contaminant. If you have a concern about a specific contaminant, please contact us.
